Boy am I glad I read this one!! My sweet boy is 6 weeks today and we've had a super fussy baby since about week 2 or 3, which already seems like an eternity! My two year old had colic and screamed an average of 10 hours a day...this doesn't compare to that and we are thankful but it's still been very frustrating. He does not spit up but had many other classic symptoms of reflux and was put on Zantac. Like with your Harrison, it worked for a few days but then things were bad again. I still gave it two weeks but he was switched to Prevacid and started it on Monday. I know I need to give it two weeks but so far things are still rough and now he has been backed up. It's not to the point that a pediatrician would consider him constipated but for him, he is backed up and it's causing even more tummy pain. I am hoping it gets better and we don't have to change medications yet again, especially since there is only one other option from here. He also screams out from gas pains often too. I cut dairy and several other things out before he was even 2 weeks old. It has helped but we still have problems with gas pain. I've tried gas drops and gripe water with maybe a tad bit of relief. I used probiotics with my first colicky baby and they did nothing but am willing to try again. Where did you buy the ones you use?? Also, I have noticed his stool being a little green a few times so I may try nursing on one side to see if that helps. It's been sooooo frustrating bc since he is so fussy we haven't been getting out much. I hate all the time we are spending at home for the sake of my toddler-we are used to being out and about all day every day and I feel so guilty about how his summer life is going so far. Sorry this has turned into a book but it's so nice "talking" with someone who has been through the same thing. I appreciate the time you took on this blog post and I am hoping we have a happier baby soon. Please let me know about the probiotics if you have a minute. Thanks :)<br />AlisonAlisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00180095199945261108noreply@blogger.com
