Lutons in the Inlet 2019

We are back from our second family beach trip of the summer and are so sad to have seen it come and go so quickly. For years upon years now, we have taken two beach trips every summer - one with each "side" of the family, treasuring time with both so very much. I know how very lucky I am to have the loving, hands-on, supportive family that I do, and I truly cherish the moments and memories we share together.

So, it came as no surprise that the week would be as chock full of special moments, conversations, memories, and fun as it was - we LOVED our time in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. A look at this, our last beach trip of Summer 2019 with our Luton "side" of the family:

We visited Murrells Inlet last year; so, we were ol' pros this go 'round. ;) Our days started the same each morning: waking early enough to see the beautiful sunrise. I feel most at peace at the beach and watching the sun slowly climb it's way up over the seaside horizon never gets old.

After breakfast was eaten, a morning beach run was complete, and sunscreen was applied, we would spend the next few hours on the beach - having as much fun as we possibly could before naptime and rest time had arrived for the littles.

The afternoons were then spent in the pool, often right up until dinnertime. We seriously soaked in as much sun and fun as we could!

Our evenings were then spent having more fun together, be it beach walks, ping pong tourneys, gameshow competitions, couch snuggling, or just good ol' fashion family fun, we had a little bit of it all (including watching the CRAZIEST storm roll through one night!).

A few other favorite moments from the week? The very first night, we were spoiled with getting to witness baby sea turtles make their way to the ocean!!! And another day, it was mommas on duty while the dads golfed. :)

Another day, we spent the morning at a place called Wonder Works for a little change of scenery, and the kids had a ball!

But my favorite was just time with my people, my family. While I can't slow time from passing, I can make the most of spending that time with people I love, with family I love - creating moments and memories that will last a lifetime.

It was a week for the books. And we can't wait to do it all again next year with people we love. <3
