I've nearly lost count of how many years our mischevious elf, Gold E. Locks (aka Goldy), has been causing all kinds of elftastic shenanigans in our home from December 1st through 24th! Seven now? The squeals that erupt from my kiddos' mouths each morning as they discover what he's done is always one of my favorite moments of each day. Christmas is magical, and Goldy definitely has a hand in the magic! Here, a look at all the fun Goldy left in his wake during Christmas 2018:
Day 1. Goldy arrived via his very own, personalized elfin door, letting the kids know this was his special transporter straight to and from the North Pole!
Day 2. Goldy's blood runneth orange! He was thrilled to celebrate the Clemson Tiger's ACC Championship win and ticket into the College Football Playoffs!

Day 3. As he does each year, Goldy left the kids an Advent calendar, reminding them the real reason for the season each day, along with a candy house for them to decorate.
Day 4. It was time for some reindeer games! Goldy left behind a little Elfscotch and Tic-Cat-Toe.
Day 5. Hot dog, Hot dog, Hot diggity dog! Looks like Goldy got a little hungry overnight. ;)
Day 7. Another favorite holiday tradition: painting pottery as a family! Goldy showcased the Christmas dinnerware plates painted over the last six years to let the kids know that they'd be going that day to paint a seventh piece (as well as a few chosen *treasures* of their own).
Day 8. Time to get crafty! Goldy knows craft day is a fun day and left behind some stockings for the kiddos to sew and decorate!
Day 9. Another favorite 'round these parts: Goldy delivered personalized messages for each kiddo straight from the jolly ol' soul himself!
Day 10. Pa-Rum-Pum-Pum-Pum! Goldy decided to play the role of the little drummer elf on this day. ;)
Day 11. Woohoo! A special trip was promised on Day 11: a visit to see Santa himself. Time to fill that frame!
Day 12. Goldy must have known we've been getting buckets and buckets of rain this December, deciding it's almost easier to just row oneself around in all the rainy mess!
Day 13. Kisses to all (including himself!), with love from Goldy!
Day 14. Oh gracious. Goldy got a little inappropriate this day. Goldy's got jokes (and the reindeer's got chocolate poops, apparently).
Day 15. Alright! Goldy delivered the kids' official 2018 Christmas jammies. Thanks, G!
Day 16. A double delight this day! Goldy created his own elf-sized Christmas countdown and also left a special, miniature birthday cake to celebrate this Momma's big day!
Day 17. Also an annual tradition from Goldy: He left a big box for the kids to fill with gently used toys and stuffed animals to donate. <3
Day 18. Goldy is soooooo not with the times, thinking that this is what the kids mean by "Flossing" these days. Oh, Goldy:
Day 19. Goldy let the kids know that coal is readily available should their stockings need it come Christmas Eve, BUT as far as I know, they are on the nice list; so, hopefully there will be more chocolate gold coins that await!
Day 20. Goldy was ready to get warm and cozy, all wrapped up in a comfy robe and slippers and staying toasty by the toaster oven.
Day 21. Goldy must have know that kids had a half day and then school would officially be out for Christmas break! He left hot chocolate with peppermint marshmallows and popcorn, promising an afternoon of a Christmas movie marathon!
Day 22. Christmas must be getting near! Goldy left the ingredients for the kids to make reindeer food to sprinkle on the lawn on Christmas Eve, guiding the reindeer to our home.
Day 24. And as he always does, Goldy left a farewell note and cookies to decorate for Santa. <3
Thanks for the magic yet again, Goldy! And Merry Christmas Eve to all and to all a good night!
