Cheers to the Weekend, Hello September Edition

It's hard to believe we are now a solid week into September, isn't it? And we are officially in our school-sports routine and trying to settle in and stay on top of all the things. So far, so good! We have some big changes headed our way; so, we are enjoying the calm before the chaos. With that said, just a few things we are saying CHEERS to before we kick off a lovely weekend at home with our peeps:

Sermon at the Greenway. On Sunday, our church did something new and different and we LOVED it: they had one service, in the late afternoon/early evening, at our Greenway. There were food trucks and games for the kids for a couple hours before the sermon took place. We all brought fold up chairs and blankets, shared worship and community, listened to the sermon, and then watched 18 baptisms take place. It was amazing! We love our church and loved this event and can't wait to do it again! <3

Gymnastics (re) begins. Earlier this year, Raleigh asked to return to gymnastics, instead of dance, when the new season began. She had taken gymnastics 2.5 years ago at a different gym, but we decided to switch gyms based on the amazing things we had heard about a this new(er) program. And ohmygosh, everyone was so right. We LOVE this new gym! Raleigh is in an intermediate class, with two other girls, right after school on Wednesdays. So, we hopped in the car and headed straight there shortly after she got off the bus on Wednesday of this week, not sure what to expect. But it was awesome. Her coach is fantastic, she is getting 3:1 instruction, and despite not having been in gymnastics for the last couple years, she picked right up where she left off. But the best part was at the end, when the coach sat the girls down and prayed over them. Oh my heart. We love Metrolina and are excited to see what this year brings our big girl!

Labor Day Pool Day. Whelp, we hit up the pool for what was likely our last visit for 2019 on Labor Day. We loved seeing dear friends and spending the day non-Labor-ing, after what had been a busy and productive weekend of projects and planning around the house. And I am amazed that we started the summer with two little Lu swimmers and now have four! That's right - our Bels is a little fish in the water. While she can't yet figure out how to pull her head up for air and then go back under, homegirl can hold her breath for a SUPER long time and will swim a solid 8-10 feet to me, under water, all the while looking around under water with open eyes (she prefers no goggles) while kicking her little feet, wiggling her body, and swooshing her arms. It is precious. We had a great season at the pool, and now, we are ready for Fall!

Lunch with the Littles. We decided to surprise our kiddos and have lunch with all of them at their elementary school yesterday. They were so excited and so surprised to see Momma, Daddy, and little sister Bella there to join them for lunch. :)

And that's that! I am absolutely thrilled that we have no big plans or trips on the calendar for the next few weekends, which means we can just go where the weekends tell us. ;) On par for this weekend, cheering on our Tigers from the comfort of our couch, a(nother) tackle football practice, a birthday party for Bels to attend, and Banks' first official golf match on Sunday. Other than that, do with us what you'd like, Weekend. We are here for it.

See you next week, y'all! Have a great weekend!
